100 years with Hajom. In Hajom.

We would like to congratulate ourselves: This year will mark exactly 100 years of high quality joinery produced by Hajom. In the very same place the whole journey began, we are still producing our unique product, our lift and glide sliding doors. From Hajom.

Our journey begins with a man named Birger Andersson. A handy and careful craftsman who, as early as the end of the 1800′s, delivered windows and furniture of the highest grade to the people of the small town. Birger was enterprising – in 1911 he laid the foundation for the company Hajom Joinery.

Generations followed and assignments ranged from windows, doors, kitchens and even dedicated housebuilding. Until the year 1965, the year the third generation of Anderssons had a brilliant idea. The sliding door with a lift and glide function sees the light of day, a design that even then was considered to be unique and outstanding.

Since then we have managed our heritage. Our sliding door design has been adapted for the hard Scandinavian climate and the tough requirements for a well insulated construction. We have also developed the sliding doors with various solutions for load-bearing structures and expanded our range with a broad range of options such as net doors, other woods such as mahogany, iron, oak, teak and aluminum cladding.

Today from Hajom we can offer the best and most comprehensive solution to create harmonius relationship between indoors and out. Our sliding doors are represented in prestigious architectural projects, the world over.
